Research Summary
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally and cardiotoxicity is one of the major challenges in drug development. My research project is to develop a microfluidic 3D human cardiac microtissue platform that enables maturation of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, allowing for robust cardiotoxicity drug testing.
